Editing- 27/10/16

 Editing

After researching into the use of colour to make our music video more cinematic, Izzy and I decided to apply what we have learnt to our own music video. We played around with the colour to see what we thought looked the best. We oringally went for a more orange toned effect, but in places where we had filmed indoors, it made the footage look way to artifical and orange. After playing around with the colours some more, we decided on a very faint orange/brown tone. This took quite a long time to change because we had to alter each clip individually and couldn't change the colour by grouping all of the clips together and then altering the colour. Even though it did take quite a long time, it was worth it in the end. To do this, we went to effect controls, then fast colour corrector, and then edited the numbers below the colour wheel to get the particular colour we wanted on each of the clips.
We then added the black cinematic bars to the top and bottom of the music video. These are the pink parts underneath the video. We did this by adding two black screens and then shrunk each one from the top and then from the bottom, so that each video clip sits inbetween the two black bars. This means that next week, we need to move some of the clips up or down so that we don't chop off anyones heads or have important parts of the footage out of shot.
