Audience Feedback- Second Draft Edit (Music Video)

Audience Feedback- Second Draft Edit

Image result for questionAs with the first draft edit, we decided to conduct audience feedback. We will do this for each draft edit in order to improve our product even further. Since the first draft edit we completed, we made all of the improvements that our audience suggested. After all; they are the ones who will be consuming our product so their opinions are very valid. Here is a summary of audience feedback from our second draft edit, which we will alter for the next draft edit we produce.

It is important to note that we haven't decided how we are going to edit the ending, so after 3minutes 8 seconds, footage is placed in a random order which we plan to change in the next few weeks.

  • With the new improvements it looks much more like a music video, displaying more typical conventions of a music video.
  • More performance needed to make it appear more like a music video rather than a narrative.
  • The close up shots of the performer and the guitar are really successful, but the mid shots of the performer are less successful. He needs to be more animated by moving his hands more, with more facial expressions too.
  • The ending could be more romantic.
  • Some of the shots are slightly clunky, for example the shot of both actors pointing at the posters.
  • 3 minutes 29 seconds is out of focus.
  • The ducks are not effective, the gate has been used before and at the end, the performer isn't signing but this is because you haven't finished this element yet.
