Mindmap of ideas

I decided to work with one of my peers, Izzy, to create our music video. We firstly sat down together and listened to lots of different songs, seeing if they would spark an idea. We decided on 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by the Arctic Monkeys.

Obviously, we both had different ideas, so we decided to create a mind map in order to rule out ideas but also decide what could work with in our music video. We both automatically knew that we would like to create a narrative to go with the song we have chosen, but the mind map really helped us to collaborate our ideas.

Eventually, we decided that we will create a narrative, to the Arctic Monkeys song 'Fluorescent adolescent'. We decided on one main character, who will be the focus point for our narrative. The main character will be a male, who smokes, hangs around in the city and hasn't really got much due to a break up with a previous girlfriend. He will wear grunge/indie clothing. The girlfriend will be of similar style in the flashbacks we plan to include, which be of them together, cutting up the main narrative in the present of the boy and girl living their separate lives. The contrast between their lives in the present will be depicted by the girls costume, who will have more of a wealthy and upper class image. This isn't our full narrative, we still have gaps but this is our initial idea. Below, is the mind map we created of initial ideas, which we definitely plan to build on.
