Digipak mock-up drawing

Digipak design

Here I have drawn a mock up of my digipak. I really want to link all three of my media texts together. The theme of our music video is the contrast of a relationship and being alone. I decided to call the album 'Alone at the Station'. I was inspired by a recent walk I went on in my local area by some railway lines. This spot has always been a special place and I have always had an interest in trains, so I thought this could inspire my idea. As well as this, the real album by Catfish and the Bottleman is written by a male, about a girl who doesn't love him. Therefore, I think the theme of being alone is appropriate for my design.

Here, I have included a front and back cover, with four middle slides. The first, I plan to replicate something similar for my magazine advert. I would like to have a teenage girl, in a black dress with bright red lipstick and curled hair, at a train platform with a bench behind. This is the plan, but this may be subject to change. I might go down to some train tracks near my house but this could be a little dangerous as trains still go down the tracks, so the first idea may be a safer option. The second slide I would like to have the girl in an archway with a path ascending behind her. I have drawn her facing forwards but I think it may be even better if she is looking up and stood sideways. The next slide, I would like to take in a forest with the girl lying down, with her hair splayed out beside her, maybe with leaves in her hair. The final two slides I would like to be in the style of a portrate with beautifully crisp and clear photography. Finally, the last slide I would like to be similar to the first cover, but this time have the back of her in the same place by the same bench, or even in a different station with her back towards the camera.

For the CD, I plan to have this very simplistic. I have two ideas; either a plan black CD with the title of the album in a white font or a train track, but again it may be difficult to take this image for safety reasons.

The font for the title, name of the artist and the tracks on the back page will all be in either a white or black sans serif font. The reason I haven't decided on colours for this is because it depends on the colouring of the photographs. I want the text to contrast again the colour of the background and be completely clear to the eye.
